5-day Mini Lesson:  Marketing For Local Professionals

Part 2: AUTHORITY

Put yourself in the customer’s shoes for a minute. You spring a leak in the kitchen and you need a plumber and fast, so you hop over to Google for a quick search. Up pops a list of plumbers. How do you decide who to call?

If you’re like me, the first thing you check for are reviews, right? How many people like this plumber? How recent was the last review? Are there bad reviews? If so, how did the business respond?

My plumber’s list would get narrowed down based on reviews. Then I'd check out the websites of the top contenders to see if you can find out more about that plumber.

Does the website make you feel like you can trust your choice? You also want to verify that they actually serve the area where you live. Are they open right now? Are they still in business?

In other words, people look for these:

•Social proof

•Responsiveness

•Quality (do they do a good job?)

•Trust (can I trust these people in my home?)

•Integrity (do they treat people fairly?)

When that plumber checks all those boxes, that’s who we call. In a nutshell, we call this their authority. How's your authority? Could a potential customer check those boxes for you? We take care of all five of these categories for you without you having to spend much time on it so you can spend time enjoying your business and enjoying your family.

Yesterday I showed you how we get you in front of the right people. Now you know why you get the clicks.
